Recipe for consistency

How come some women never fall off their fitness routine while others seem to be starting over again every Monday?

Did you know they've actually researched this and there is in fact an answer... and it wasn't what you would probably think.

It wasn't motivation.

It wasn't willpower.

And it wasn't more time.

What they discovered was that the women who stayed consistent the longest weren’t driven by aesthetics at all. They weren’t chasing abs or a number on the scales. They were chasing peace. Clarity. Calmness. That feeling of being able to breathe again. For them training wasn’t pressure it was relief. A break from the noise. A moment where nobody needed anything from them. A moment where their body wasn’t being judged or pulled in a million directions.

These women had tapped into something called somatic regulation which is basically using movement to regulate emotional stress and mental load. It calms the nervous system. It helps release the tension you hold in your body without even realising it. It builds resilience against anxiety stress trauma and all the invisible things we carry as women and especially as mums.

One woman said "I used to punish my body for how it looked, now I train for how it feels."

When you train for how you feel instead of how you look the goal becomes different. Every workout becomes a reset, a way to breath again, feel again and come back stronger.

When movement stops being punishment it becomes therapy and that’s when you stop avoiding it. You start craving it. You start protecting that time the same way you protect your kids bedtimes or your own sanity because you know you genuinely feel better afterwards.

So maybe instead of exercise being about punishing yourself or trying to become the smallest version of who you are maybe next year it becomes about peace and strength and coming home to yourself again. Maybe that’s the shift you needed all along.

If you’re ready to start putting yourself first my coaching is the step that turns good intentions into real results.
