10 Easy & FREE Activities for mums with no time/money

When people think of exercise they normally think of some gruelling regime or spending money on a gym subscription. And as a mum where normally both time and money can get in the way of our health goals.

I have put together a list of 10 ways you can increase your activity, which can also be super helpful if you are just having one of those weeks where you are not seeming to fit anything for yourself in:

  1. Park the furthest you can from the shop/school/work to get some more steps into your day

  2. Make chores a race, set a timer and try and complete them as quickly as possible and try to beat your time

  3. Create a morning routine including a mini AMRAP (as many rounds as possible) circuit of 10 Bodyweight squats, 10 crunches, 10 kneeling press ups and 10 Tricep dips. Try and do as many rounds in the time available

  4. Join in with your kids activities. Try the monkey bars, kick the ball, skip rope … your kids will love it too!

  5. Play music in the kitchen - dance while you cook.

  6. Swap your mummy coffee and cake meet up for a walk

  7. Find a park with outdoor gym facilities - two birds with one stone

  8. Get on top in the bedroom - raise that heart rate

  9. Set a screen time lock on your phone, it’s easy to get swallowed up by pointless scrolling when you could be doing any other the other points on the list

  10. Do a busy mum workout - I have a free workout library on which has a category specifically for busy mums with workouts lasting 20-30 mins max
